Sun Catcher Roofing recently completed a commercial TPO re-roof for an occupied ALDI grocery store and the neighboring space being prepared for a new CITY Furniture location in Boca Raton.

Our team removed the existing single-ply roofing system and rusted fasteners down to the roof deck, recycling old roofing materials whenever possible. The new TPO roofing system was engineered for South Florida’s demanding wind conditions using heavier-duty #15 fasteners and 2-3/8″ plates, secured as close as 6″ on center in designated areas. Fastener patterns were calculated across five roof zones based on engineered wind-uplift requirements.

Beyond storm protection, the reflective TPO membrane helps reduce rooftop heat absorption, keeping the building cooler and helping the HVAC systems operate more efficiently.

Completing a commercial re-roof during a South Florida summer also makes crew safety our top priority. Our team uses frequent hydration and cooling breaks, shaded tents, heat monitoring, and warning flags to help protect everyone working on the roof.
